My pen name, Tricky Labyrinth, was just something I came up with when trying to describe my tacit sensation of searching for novel ideas. Phrases like "falling down a rabbit hole" or "opening Pandora's box" or "peeling the onion" felt insufficient, describing other kinds of exploration. My bio just refers to my interest in both classical computer science (think computability, complexity theory, cryptography, etc) and how broader computer science ideas might be applied to warfare.

I'm interested in speculative technology, and collect a variety of examples here. When I say "speculative tech", I mean technology that's somewhere between fully proven out and sci-fi, often only just having gotten a proof of concept.

I want to figure out what the future of warfare looks like more broadly. Drones in particular seem promising, and so I host a group chat to discuss the broader uses of drones with people creating drone startups (both military and civilian), casual drone enthusiasts and drone software developers.

I like strange trivia, especially if it happens upon my other interests, and so I host a group chat for that too.

DM me @trickylabyrinth if you ever want to chat about any of these.
